“Gherardini 120 anni” Piazza degli Uffizi” Florence
An Italian Garden in front of the Uffizi. The hedges cut to form five large “G’s”. “G” as the initial in Gherardini.
This is the idea to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the Florentine brand.
The garden is built in such a way as to allow an original display of about 100 vintage bags ranging from 1885, the date of foundation of the brand, real “handmade” jewels to “fashion bags” in the early 80s, passing with ease through the 30s, 40s and 50s… Every decade of history is told in a “G”
The set-up plays with lights, water and greenery creating hedges where display cases of great aesthetic knowledge are created inside.
The visitor finds himself in a green labyrinth, from one “G” to another: a journey through the most beautiful creations of the iconic Made in Italy leather goods.
Inside each “G” there is a celebratory area with “vintage” shots that reproduce the salient stages of Gherardini’s leather brand history and with a beautiful “water effect” created through a mini-pond with flowers floating
